About Us

Deerfish Distilling Co. is a family-owned craft distillery rooted in passion, expertise, and a deep connection to Mobile, Alabama. Our team brings together two dynamic husband-and-wife duos: Austin and Ashley Hallford, and Lee and Emilie Hallford.

Austin & Ashley Hallford

WITH OVER 20 YEARS OF COMBINED EXPERIENCE IN THE CRAFT DISTILLING INDUSTRY, AUSTIN AND ASHLEY ARE THE HEART OF DEERFISH’S CRAFT. AUSTIN LEFT MOBILE IN 2010 TO PURSUE A CAREER IN DISTILLING IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST, WHERE HE MET ASHLEY. TOGETHER, THEY DEDICATED THE LAST EIGHT YEARS TO PERFECTING THEIR CRAFT AT AN AWARD-WINNING DISTILLERY, WITH AUSTIN EARNING RECOGNITION AS THEIR MASTER DISTILLER. NOW, THEY’VE RETURNED TO THEIR ROOTS, EAGER TO SHARE THEIR PASSION AND EXPERTISE WITH THEIR HOMETOWN COMMUNITY.

Lee & Emilie Hallford

LEE AND EMILIE HALLFORD BRING A LOVE FOR MOBILE AND A COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY INTO THE DEERFISH STORY. EMILIE IS A PRACTICING PHYSICIAN AT USA PROVIDENCE HOSPITAL, PROVIDING CARE AND COMPASSION TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. LEE, AN ARMY VETERAN AND PROUD MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF THE INCA MARDI GRAS ORGANIZATION, EMBODIES THE SPIRIT OF SERVICE AND CELEBRATION. TOGETHER, THEY CONTRIBUTE TO THE VISION AND PURPOSE OF DEERFISH DISTILLING CO.
